8 f- z ^4 C7 XWhat is the Square of 9 The Square of 9 is basically a spiral of numbers starting with the
2 `. y9 x+ k0 ]number one in the center (or apex of the Great Pyramid) with the number 2 immediately
8 Z- D h. r- t% e! Cto the left. The rest of the numbers spiral around the center in a clockwise fashion to the+ _' t+ {3 O% M0 I& X8 l, A$ V) {
number 9, which completes the first cycle of numbers around the center. 10 through 25
1 a0 I" ?, G ]1 Gcompletes the 2nd cycle, 26 through 49 completes the 3rd , etc… This particular- o1 d, m) N1 | C
arrangement of numbers creates a very unique square root relationship with other

techniques utilizing the Square of 9 in his Gann Course and his book Chart Reading for$ t3 b+ _, p( E1 l( M- n
Professional Traders. Basically, if you want to move around the coordinates on the Gann- a8 E4 O) u, H( {8 I! H! }9 Y
Wheel you take the number you are interested in ( such as the all  High or Low price)
; R8 b; ?$ _7 W8 atake the square root of the number, then add or subtract 2 from the root and resquare the
$ }+ N2 Q+ R6 T- Q8 w$ V) M& Dresult. Example: Lets say that we are interested in the price 664 (which is in the vertical& ]. N2 M0 W5 b7 C' r+ H7 |) M1 g
column straight up from the center). The square root is 25.768 + 2 = 27.768^2 = 771- L g! p/ Q- P( q( V s
which is the number directly above 664 or one full 360 degree cycle out from center. If) n" r8 i% N4 k8 W7 h
we subtracted 2 from the root and re-squared the number (25.768-2= 23.768^2 = 565 )
7 |/ h" } v5 c8 ^2 \6 Cwe would get 565 which is directly below 664 or one full 360 degree cycle in towards
! \7 {3 ~: U3 ]1 F7 R4 V) Xcenter. Incorporating the Gann Emblem with this technique, allows us to calculate+ y( |) P) Q& `6 S
coordinates that are conjunct (360 = +/- 2 from the root), opposition (180 = +/- 1 from" O* K0 e: T! p% V7 w, W
root #), trine (120= +/- .666) (240= +/- 1.333), square (90 = +/- .5) (270= +/- 1.5) and

This technique is extremely useful for finding coordinate squares on the Gann Wheel that/ W1 U! W7 ~0 g: C/ y
are making hard aspects to a previous position on the wheel. Also, Gann believed that the$ R7 J3 s t/ v4 l, d z% N
numbers that connected the square base of the pyramid (the 4 corners of the square, i.e.
, b9 g5 ~% p: q% ?1 [, Pcorner #'s.) to the “gravity center” and also the numbers that ran straight vertical and
8 z# Z/ `6 ~1 j3 t- Chorizon tal from the “gravity center” in the form of a cross (cardinal numbers) were very
r' K& o" L* p3 C* eimportant in balancing “Price & Time” on the wheel. He was basically looking for$ U \. F5 z6 ~1 s7 S' t
astronomical longitudes to balance with price on these key angles. Pythagoras said “
% `; K- a% L3 m) q6 e! Q1 cUnits in a circle or in a square are related to each other in terms of Price & Time at
" |6 v0 L+ o9 Y+ f q2 n8 n" Q. [specific points.” Gann often quoted the Bible, Emerson, Pythagoras and Faraday to name
& j2 u( K" p/ K' q Ca few. Basically, he was pointing the reader of his works to clues that would allow his8 w' ^, J0 W' ^% ^5 V+ b# B
student to unlock the code of his writing style.

, k7 }! B0 b! g; d( Wcircular calendar starts on the left-hand side of the wheel on the same horizontal line as
& A4 G7 ~3 p' h$ b% }# t/ {; sthe center block. The date is March 21st and refers to the start of the “natural” year in the
2 B- G v: w& V- }, R8 Qseason of Spring with the Sun in Aries ^. “Lamb of God you take away the sins of the& x* U" [; t, j/ z- k; E
world” ( Spring takes away the sins of Winter). The dates move around the circle
6 W8 l: ?% D+ H" zclockwise completing the calendar. This relationship allows the user to quickly identify
- j0 I" w; B2 z2 E1 |4 O3 y5 _- Tdates that are Conjuct, Opposite, Square, Trine or sextile to a past calendar date relative

In Gann's Master Course for Stocks he said “ Within the circle forms the square, there is
0 p _9 I: m! [an inner circle and an inner square, as well as an outer square and an outer circle which' t+ q ^- e9 i1 w. `
prove the Fourth Dimension in working out price movements.” So far, we have covered
4 z5 F0 @ y2 Vthe inner circle ( The Earth's Orbit around the Sun) and the inner square ( Historic high &6 u0 z9 c) o( w+ N* K
low coordinates on the square itself). The outer circle includes all of the planets and is the
$ {9 ?; i. Y- o8 M- N5 l- x3 qZodiac starting at the left side of the square also on March 21st. Moving from this point
! ?2 F$ t7 r9 r2 _1 ?clockwise in 30 degree sections of the circle will place all 12 zodiac symbols around the
+ L% W, J6 _, ~' d6 a' Y. iwheel (^_`abcdefghi). This completes the outer circle and allows the analyst to examine
' w( S8 W2 E" v' Q; R9 mplanetary longitude relationships to price coordinates on the Square of 9, which is now an7 k3 q. u1 b6 B. K9 ^4 }

volume and direction. All the essential qualities of its evolution are characterized in its
3 o( R; [/ x/ L- ~! K6 h. Nown rate of vibration. Stocks and commodities, like atoms, are really centers of energies,
; R& u* v8 i ^; X% ^ q7 b% t1 Ntherefore they are controlled mathematically. They create their own field of action and
