A strong quake struck at sea off the central Philippines on Friday, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage, seismologists said. & p# g* h& h4 ?# W1 I+ ~
The U.S. Geological Survey measured the quake at 6.0, while the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) put it at 6.1.

The earth's disturbance occurred about 50.1 kilometers (31.1 miles) beneath the surface, according to a U.S. Geological Survey advisory.
