What is the Square of 9 The Square of 9 is basically a spiral of numbers starting with the5 l( F! D" H8 h7 g
number one in the center (or apex of the Great Pyramid) with the number 2 immediately
1 Q3 {' t f' f+ fto the left. The rest of the numbers spiral around the center in a clockwise fashion to the
* m$ p. Y" k* ?6 D8 [0 qnumber 9, which completes the first cycle of numbers around the center. 10 through 250 [. }) A- P- B; n3 u: s
completes the 2nd cycle, 26 through 49 completes the 3rd , etc… This particular6 u6 X9 U( x w
arrangement of numbers creates a very unique square root relationship with other( R9 v. D: i9 ^

Professional Traders. Basically, if you want to move around the coordinates on the Gann, z ]# Y `7 W/ V. ]
Wheel you take the number you are interested in ( such as the all High or Low price)
& Q T- U( v5 w; ]take the square root of the number, then add or subtract 2 from the root and resquare the
) c4 q9 \6 O) p4 eresult. Example: Lets say that we are interested in the price 664 (which is in the vertical
3 I/ D" `8 t2 v [3 b' dcolumn straight up from the center). The square root is 25.768 + 2 = 27.768^2 = 771
" r" }; W/ x4 }* A, Z: xwhich is the number directly above 664 or one full 360 degree cycle out from center. If5 e {' n" l7 `7 {
we subtracted 2 from the root and re-squared the number (25.768-2= 23.768^2 = 565 )) ~; m7 C6 T! m7 m3 C
we would get 565 which is directly below 664 or one full 360 degree cycle in towards& X! w! P( f; a+ b! ` S- K
center. Incorporating the Gann Emblem with this technique, allows us to calculate4 I9 V' T* L X! n4 t
coordinates that are conjunct (360 = +/- 2 from the root), opposition (180 = +/- 1 from
# Y' T5 T# d* I- xroot #), trine (120= +/- .666) (240= +/- 1.333), square (90 = +/- .5) (270= +/- 1.5) and

- f1 X K$ {- Q) y. y# d2 x4 _astronomical longitudes to balance with price on these key angles. Pythagoras said “5 Y9 N) Z( s; f H: O! y: W2 S
Units in a circle or in a square are related to each other in terms of Price & Time at
2 `' O; t7 O! f3 [+ K' C2 M9 Vspecific points.” Gann often quoted the Bible, Emerson, Pythagoras and Faraday to name
9 r4 L* N4 n0 t% R9 V2 U8 Oa few. Basically, he was pointing the reader of his works to clues that would allow his- v. X+ \' Y. B( v1 X" F8 H
student to unlock the code of his writing style.# M& d. E& k c; L) ^8 a8 [- t
( q) _) z" U# N' G/ O, \' ] GTime around the outer perimeter of the Square of 9 is a circle with months and days. The
4 s0 j( V! S5 F$ r# G2 vcircular calendar starts on the left-hand side of the wheel on the same horizontal line as" H2 V: S. e- g* E
the center block. The date is March 21st and refers to the start of the “natural” year in the# j4 B8 V: z: U6 |9 u7 _
season of Spring with the Sun in Aries ^. “Lamb of God you take away the sins of the( k; m: e9 k5 E" }/ d: h( z
world” ( Spring takes away the sins of Winter). The dates move around the circle
: x+ h. p8 q' T& D! Tclockwise completing the calendar. This relationship allows the user to quickly identify
( K+ q X3 E: Y) H; Qdates that are Conjuct, Opposite, Square, Trine or sextile to a past calendar date relative, @8 N& t% U3 X3 B
to the Sun / Earth relationship.

In Gann's Master Course for Stocks he said “ Within the circle forms the square, there is

low coordinates on the square itself). The outer circle includes all of the planets and is the

planetary longitude relationships to price coordinates on the Square of 9, which is now an' A4 S- F# ?3 f: ?7 x* O
outer square. In this way, we can convert planetary positions to prices relating to degrees: e, u( L/ l7 P+ J
of a circle (Zodiac longitude) and also to coordinates on the Square of 9. We can also
