IMPORTANT NUMBERS FOR RESISTANCE - 12 to 100

because 12 equals 12 months and 11¼ is 1/32 of a circle of 1/2 of
. N& G" c3 v6 r3 G* r5 o# s+ h# v22½°.6 G S( w! @; u
15 and 16: The next important resistance point is 16, the square of 4. 15 is : v! V0 s, ^4 |% t
important because it is 1¼ years.
0 z5 u$ ]: [& I4 n: |/ A7 r- b18: An important number for resistance in Time and Price because it is
% s& X7 _$ ]" Ztwice 9, 1½ times 12, 1/20th of a circle.0 W7 M# s: J% T( j0 } w
20½: The half-way point between 16 and 25, therefore important at times.
9 [$ k% P$ `0 B22½ and 24: 22½ is 1/16 of a circle, 1/2 of 45. The reason why stocks often make
& B: L) V. E6 \! F6 P6 l. x9 Jtop or bottom in the 23rd month is because the angle of 22½° comes
- y; _7 `( n/ U1 d' qout at this point.3 Q% B( @1 U; U) P, O' \
24 and 25: These are very important because 24 is twice 12 and 25 is the square
. p3 [4 j; `7 f# Gof 5 and 1/4 of 100.- j( U0 J4 }0 Y0 P/ l
26: When you consider the square of 4, which is 16, and the even square ; s; T* r1 S; l w4 `/ |
of 6, which is 36, the half-way point between them is 26, which is
) r: o: K; v' q& W6 Csometimes an important resistance point for Time and Price." h1 ^ O; P0 R" W2 [* A
27 and 28: Important tops and bottoms often come out around 27 to 28 months, " }+ s- }) P: l$ l7 ]; o6 Q
and major or minor campaigns end on this time period. The reason for
( K. e' V2 S2 N9 \8 {/ c) |4 x: Wthis is that 4 times 7 is 28 and that 28 is 2-1/3 years. Three times 9 is
3 k @% K2 I$ U. ~0 S& M3 b27 and anything that comes out on multiples of 3 is very important,
4 P) J% Z+ L( Y0 O" ?because it is the first odd number that we can square, as the square of
$ p/ a3 _* A, s, K$ e1 is 1." j; W( e, M2 V& k5 W1 i
30: Any half-way point or gravity centre is also important. Therefore, 30, 2 O: ^! B: i7 S* c( [9 U5 v
which is 2½ years, is an important time period for changes in trend.
" G5 g" o7 [0 e8 s# L5 C& xBecause 30½ is the half-way point between 25, the square of 25, and
8 l. o0 |4 G/ W2 E% Y36, the square of 6, it makes this period important.
! Q3 F5 U3 Y# w5 f* a34 to 36: 33¾ is 3/4 of 45. You will recall that the bear campaign which ended
0 R/ C+ p4 L% B. g0 @! }9 Pin July, 1932, was 34 months from the 1929 top. It is always
% J" T% }# P2 u" ]important to watch for changes in trend around the 34th to 36th , D" `, C' M8 `/ K
months. 36 being the square of 6 makes this a strong resistance point.
$ ?% E" ~2 |$ E& Q/ p& `Three times 12 or the end of the 3rd year is another reason for strong . @8 W; `4 i. S
resistance at this point. b& v J( v: {7 U% p& G
39 and 40: 40 is a number referred to many times in the Bible. The children of
+ s/ o& @: `& S n; n* {4 lIsrael wandered 40 years in the wilderness. The food lasted 40 days.
6 y' ~4 @* e+ m3 u4 W40 equals 3-1/3 years. 7/8 of 45 is 39-3/8. Forty is 1/9 of a circle. All
6 S+ W, h8 l5 B* g8 z& Mof this makes these numbers important for time periods and resistance
. m9 r: ~* ~- l& _' @' tlevels on price.
) D! I9 ^, b1 {: H4 b42: is the next important number for resistance in Time and Price. It is 3½
/ V( f. ]0 D% H3 f/ w1 C& syears of time or 1/2 of a 7-year cycle. Also, 42½ is the half-way point
6 |! Q0 H- d/ D4 k( S8 z- t* C$ b% Wbetween the square of 6 and the square of 7.! f* M, r g) [6 X x1 j) Y& m
45: This is the master of all numbers because it contains all the digits from
* B+ L8 K/ @% g- W- C2 d0 I1 to 9. The 45° angle divides the 90° angle in half, making it an
9 S9 q7 E3 g: @- Limportant gravity centre. It is 1/8 of 360 and 5 times 9. Fast moves - R7 n9 E9 x" k/ P
up or down often occur in the 45th month. On any kind of chart that
7 |7 m0 J& ]3 Q& O+ uyou make up with squares, you will find that 45 will come out on the
( Q# T! C* @( j! v: o45° angle or a 90° angle or an angle that is the equivalent of these 1 z9 m' E6 q5 m3 V# f
angles. Notice how 45 comes out on the square of 9, the square of 20 % _+ [2 W) H% l1 ^ z% I7 x
and the square of 12, all proving that 45 is a Master Number. Use 45 6 {0 J0 b0 ^. i4 a! D& @1 E1 L
in every way possible for measuring Price, Time, Space and Volume
! h, R6 B. _( j' h: V& j# o0 _' L/ Zmovements.* b5 Y8 N( X0 y8 u4 `3 a
48 and 49: are strong and important numbers for changes in trend. 49 is 7 times $ B* p$ R9 ?3 D: |; X
7, or the square of 7, and 48 is 4 times 12, or the end of the 4th year. , l( C" s$ t% R
On a decline to 49 to 50, a stock often meets resistance and has a good 6 x1 P; i0 r" ^, z
rally from this point. The same with a stock on an advance to around ( s {% e& @% N$ t
49 to 50, meeting resistance around this point and reacting to 45 7 N! o, q( s# n/ p: B. [+ f. g
anyway.2 j3 C% g" w3 s) w: u
50: is important because it is one-half of 100. If we add 5-5/8 to 45, we
. e v: x2 P4 K: a2 Qget 50-5/8./ c9 v: p. n1 r% r3 s- t
52: This number has some importance because there are 52 weeks in a + g) w, j8 @! i
year and 51-7/8 is one-seventh of a circle of 360°. It is 4-1/3 years. 9 }8 `& q' R. `9 J
52½ is the half-way point between 45 and 60, which makes this % f0 @- F3 o: P
important to watch for resistance.6 T7 T4 d) V' @1 {
56 and 57: These are very important because 56¼ is 45 plus 11¼ or the half-way I6 P& C6 s$ C1 T9 q# a0 q
point between 45 and 67½. 56½ is the half-way point between 49 and
, k7 A$ u6 Z1 Z/ u64.
1 p6 Z8 V, e8 B4 a6 R9 I/ l60: This is one of the very important numbers to watch for resistance. It
1 u+ D x I- y5 Z1 U9 O$ k/ Yis an important time period because it equals 5 years in time or 1/2 of
' t8 n j8 k+ ?& F: D! j' Xthe 10-year cycle or 1/4 of a 20-year cycle. It is one of the most - \% Q: O" y0 a1 C! M
important time periods after 45 to 49. 60 is 1/6 of the circle. Here S& X: I8 K' N2 Y! F( v, R
again we use the rule of 3, multiplying 20 by 3, we get 60. 60 is 1/3
. v. A: D0 g8 M+ }5 |, ]5 ]of 180 and the halfway point between 45 and 75. Watch stocks that 0 y. G. s* E9 H* b. @! x- O
advance to around 60 or decline to around 60. If they hesitate several
o2 ~. P* J* c# f. J" S" Ddays, weeks or months, you will know that they are meeting resistance 0 x. R1 h" S1 C! _
at this point and a reverse move will occur.9 w {% P4 d) R% e! t* b: O. Z
63 to 64: 62½ is 5/8 of 100. 63 is 7 times 9. 64 is the square of 8, and is 5-1/3
6 r+ U% Y' Y9 O% T; \years, and the next important point to watch after 60.
7 I1 H* p3 j' f1 W- g j66 and 67: 66 is 5½ years or 5½ times 12. 67½ is 45 plus 22½ or 3/16 of a circle.- h) |9 \6 O7 e+ r! r2 r
70 to 72: The number 70 is referred to many times in the Bible. It is three score 4 i3 B r& k; f, [
years and ten, the allotted span of the life of man. 70 is 7 times 10; + [* J) b1 R6 R, @
3½ times the 20-year cycle. 72 is 6 years and 72½ is the halfway # \6 w; L* u3 Q
point between the square of 8 and the square of 9. 72 is 1/5 of 360. It # D& X" M4 o! ?1 R* t
is also the square of 12 and a very important time period.: M3 X4 D" {' ?
78 to 80: These are all important because 78-3/4 is 7/8 of 90; 80 is 4 times 20
0 m! R, _- Y. `# p. D. Wand twice 40. 80 equals 1/18 of 360° circle and is 4/5 of 100. The
4 \) V, X/ P% a% b& Wsquare of 9 is 81. Great resistance occurs around these price levels,
3 U/ d- O( a/ |5 A6 r/ w3 I' aand the endings and beginnings of cycles take place around these
6 q- X/ ~. s- K! V7 wmonths as you will find by looking them up on your charts.
2 u. {" X! B- c9 E6 a84 to 85: Strong resistance levels, because 84-3/8 is 15/16 of 90 and 84 is 7
4 d& D# L7 z/ ~% R/ T3 mtimes 12 and equals the 7-year cycle. At this point, the greatest # k$ n+ w/ M! j5 X; l5 R
resistance is met before a stock reaches the 90th month or a price of
7 j# O, l) O8 F' a9 G% j90. After it breaks under 90, it is the first important resistance level
( z7 O) X9 ~( ?0 abelow 90.
/ {- K3 a0 u, ~+ r; h89 and 90: 90 is one of the strongest points of all because it equals a vertical
6 z3 }5 [, b! D$ Q8 J' O0 J# i+ cangle and represents 1/4 of the circle. 90½ is the half-way point
, e( H. W' k+ H7 M6 L& D+ Mbetween 81 and 100, the square of 9 and the square of 10. In active 5 m$ h0 h2 W5 R9 x" X' t' c: P
markets, moves straight up and straight down occur when the 90th : E4 L1 W ~/ T, F/ U5 O/ @
month, 90th week or 90th day is reached. The 90th month is the most % b% a3 ? G: c7 d0 J/ }
important, but the 90th week is also quite important.# f/ Z$ h0 M/ E+ w3 h2 \
You should always watch the 89th month for tops and bottoms and
( O. I+ w7 s8 _; O$ n ?4 Timportant changes in trend. Many important campaigns begin and end ; @. E6 P$ n2 u; @+ e& R9 c0 o
in the 89th month; some run to the 91st month. Note U.S. Steel ! r% ^0 J" b# C% T7 t3 n8 h
monthly 1915 to 1916 and see what happened around the 89th to 90th . g: a) {, Q4 ? D! f T; ]
months.4 D! `/ @8 V9 p* L, ^# [! ]; d
On the daily chart the change often comes on the 92nd to 93rd day,
4 w! `: I0 a, N+ }1 d/ ^but a movement often runs to around the 98th day before an important
& q3 D! t$ e- f: _* w* Hchange. It is important to watch this point on a daily chart./ d" {+ j H# r5 ^/ @# y4 N: J
95 to 96: This is 8 times 12. 95-5/8 is 90 plus 5-5/8 and quite a strong
* q2 u: Q8 S" ?1 A+ |resistance level for price and time changes. When an important time
% @$ M0 p- z) Qperiod comes out on the 96th to 98th month, you will often find an
: L4 k6 h) ~) [important change in trend because this is 8 times 12 and starts the 9th
5 k E5 z. x5 Z6 wyear. The 9th year is always important and marks the ending of
0 O$ v7 O( r3 ]9 d$ eimportant campaigns with extreme high or low prices.
8 g7 C( {& m; eStocks often advance to 95 to 97 and fail to make 100; then they often 6 M! [2 z) v# L0 U
decline to 97 to 95 and meet strong support, rally and cross 100 again.
: G8 f8 ?4 z1 W$ H; ?99 to 100: Important because 100 is the square of 10. 99 is 11 times 9. 100 is a 3 {) w m, x, F
psychological number for the public to buy and sell, or to hope for 2 ^# Y/ O: e' q# j6 U" ?- u7 g
prices to reach. Stocks often go to 99 and fail to make 100 and often
' W& E/ a& d9 D6 D$ N( h9 E7 |decline to 99 and then start up again., i. D5 p7 y6 O4 s# m" Q0 i- P
Study all of these important squares and gravity centers or half-way points and the 9 J. |4 g, t/ W u
squares of numbers above 12, as shown on the 360° Circle Chart. All of these 1 K; F* j3 K+ [- s
mathematical points will help you to determine changes in trend and resistance
- D4 C9 J) F0 p1 w6 {points.
