Many thanks for your interesting post in defence of George Bayer over William D. Gann. However, please find below the opposite viewpoint, that has been expressed by Gann-enthusiast James Smithson.

In one of Bayer's books (I think it was "George Wollsten: Expert Stock And Grain7 `% T+ U7 O( r5 `# C% ^ x
Trader", written in 1946) Bayer actually mentions Gann. Indeed, I believe that,# r) }* t# }7 H* Y
from examining all of Bayer's books, he had a burning desire to emulate Gann;5 z3 J, j- s! K
particularly in terms of using astrology as a means of forecasting the financial
$ z+ p: `/ g8 d/ a- f2 _! Fmarkets and highlighting the esoteric wisdom of the Bible. However, as stated+ a. K$ X1 h1 M5 F3 I3 p8 W8 ?/ Z
above, it is my opinion that after carefully examining astrological influences: ^, e+ \6 x2 V" u! s. J* U
on the stock and commodity markets over many years, Gann discovered the true$ ]! s; X, Q- ~3 y) V
principles of astrology and he subsequently discovered some corroboration of
: `6 [- u2 X/ ?4 x$ W; _these in the Bible. In contrast, it is my opinion that although George Bayer
. U I! c' ^' @$ Ssimilarly examined astrological influences on the stock and commodity markets,
7 R% u9 F/ d, Q* I7 U. X* |he failed to identify the true principles of astrology. Nevertheless this did
4 j# n0 t, h u" ~8 unot stop Bayer from writing numerous books on employing astrology as a trading
$ V1 ^( g: \4 [6 _" K0 Htool and from publishing various forecasts of the financial markets.

superficial similarity to the subject matter of Gann's writings, have little

Indeed, I recommend that you should merely skim any of Bayer's books that you
; D( @$ z4 K1 Ediscover for free online, without wasting much on them.( {: S" h q7 D6 a6 c
1 C+ l' i4 G: n- {; h* DIn general, I would caution you not to waste your and money examining the
% z' a& k( I8 _9 f% L# b3 Uwritings of failed Gann students (whether these Gann students are dead or
' u8 _1 k8 b) V7 @3 ^7 dalive), because these false prophets are merely selling their own incomplete
