备查资料:(和投资没关系啊)
I think you have misinterpreted my post. It is not directed at the 9/5 indicator but at indicators that repaint in general as provided by many in the industry. I stay with my position that I think Repainting indicators are of little utility to a real- trader and are often misleading. I think my bottom line behavior is the judge of what my intentions are and my opinion is of Wave59. I am going to commit to this platform tomorrow and also to Lars new work. If I didn't have strong faith in Earik, the Wave 59 community and the future of these indicators, including what Earik mentioned was going to be the solution to instability of the 9/5 in the next release of the platform; then I certainly would not be about to spend thousands of dollars and climb the learning curve with countless hours of dedication to what is a new platform to me.
As you do mention, I do have some experience. I joined the Mercantile exchange in 1972/73 and was the first of two arbitrageurs licensed to operate in currency futures between the floor of the merc and the interbank community. I was managing general partner of Levy commodities and Levy International, a clearing member of the Board of Trade, the Merc, the New York Mercantile exchange and the New York Futures Exchange. In the exlosive metals markets of the late 1970's, I was a major market maker in gold and silver and ran gold arbitrage from the floor of Comex between Chicago, New York, London and Hong Kong. My degree is in mathematical economics and my real passion was to investigate and develop mathematical timing approaches to trading. As the computers became more available and fit for the task, I spent most of my drifting away from the exchange floors, surrounded by monitors and electronics and did the research, which has never grown unexciting to me after more than 37 years in the markets.
I was not so good at foresight as to what the trading would would soon become; an electronic market that operated between computers and the exchange floors would disappear. And also that in selling my seats too cheap, that they would go public, be worth a king's ransom--like 10-20 million dollars each! So, even if I had wanted to return to the floor, it would not have been financially feasible. I miss the comraderie and even the daily threats and abuse from the very rough floor community. I would not call it fun. Now, trading is a solitary and lonely pursuit for me. Over the years, I was involved with many trading groups that would have conferences and there was much in person contact; Computrac, Tradestation, The Foundation for the Study of Cycles, The society for the study of Recurring events, the many seminars and classes by many of the famous names of technical analysis--there were many and enough frequency to share and laugh with many types of traders and those with some common interests in other fields.
Now, things are dominated by forums such as these on the internet and I welcome the opportunity to participate. In no way did I expect that with my first post, I would be seen as a detractor. I have better things to do than go around looking for things to criticise. It is only by chance that I saw the post, it dealt with a subject matter that I have some exposure to. If I offended you or anyone, I appologise. I currently utilize MT4, Tradestation and Ninjatrader as my platforms. I was not anxious to take on something new or additional. But I have been very impressed with what I have seen in this platform, by watching almost all the videos, by reading many of these forum posts and by perosnal conversation with Earik regarding where the platform is at currently and what the plans are for enhancements and improvement. This has made it compelling enough for me to take this on and all the new work that it will bring. I only hope that my wife doesn't see that I might be spending even more hours in this trading office with this new and exciting platform and cycles work to study and learn.
